Javier's QTH is located in Moca, a city in the Northwestern tip of Puerto Rico.
Moca is part of the second largest metropolitan aera in Puerto Rico : Aguadilla–Isabela–San Sebastián.
Moca was named after the Andira indermis, or moca tree, which blooms thick with pink-purple flowers.
Moca was founded by Don José de Quiñones on June 22, 1772.
The city is famous for its lace of Mundillo and it is known as "La Capital del Mundillo" (The capital of lace).
On the air since 1986, Javier is an experienced operator who has worked many DXCC.
His working conditions consist of a Yaesu FT-450, a Yaesu FT-840,
a Base Uniden Washington transceiver , a Galaxy DX88HL transceiver, a Millennium AM/FM 10M 3003, a cobra 29 LTD Classic.
He is using several arials such as : the sirio 827 antenna, the Vector 4000 Dipole Alfa delta DX-CC and a basuka antenna.
When he is not in his shack, Javier likes hunting or fishings with his friends.
He is very interested in racing cars.
