Anthony lives in the west part of France, département 44, Loire-Atlantique which is located on the Atlantic coast.
The area is part of the historical Duchy of Brittany, and contains what many people still consider to be Brittany's capital, Nantes.
The largest city near his QTH is Saint Nazaire which is known for being one of the largest shipyards in the world with its "Chantiers de l'Atlantique".
It has constructed notable superliners such as SS Normandie, SS France, RMS Queen Mary 2 and MS Symphony of the Seas, the largest passenger ship in the world as of 2018.
Anthony is a passionate radio enthusiast.
On the air since 1996, he has worked and confirmed over 200 DXCC.
A famous hunter of "new ones" he also enjoys everyday QSO's.
One of his most memorable contacts was working 201 division, French Polynesia, on his home made 5 el antenna.
He has taken part in various DXpeditions and he is very proud of having activated several IOTAs.
Anthony is one of those discreet operators, respecting the radio etiquette and representing with honour his radio club.
His working conditions consist of a yaesu ft 950 transceiver and a Heil sound gm4 gold line microphone which is very well known for being the most widely used dynamic microphone for amateur radio.
He also has a Yaesu FT 857D.
Anthony has recently put a lot of effort in building a huge tilting antenna mast.
No doubt that with its 18 meters of height and supporting a super Mantova 8 and a DX 5 element YAGI antenna, it will be the "big ears" of South Brittany.
