After a long break from the radio hobby, Paolo has been back on frequency for a couple or years.
Repairing his own radio equipment is part of his passion :
he owns about 20 vintage CB radios.
Among them, a Zodiac M5026, aTokai PW5024, a Galaxy Saturn, some transistorised amplifiers, two SSBTuners, some SDR receivers and a SDR QRP transceiver,a studio microphone with a little mixer.
He has some SDR receivers and one SDR qrp transceiver.
Paolo is an experienced electrical technician who is capable to build a transceiver from scratch and carry out repairs to other radio related equipment.
Searching for parts in various auctions is also part of his enjoyment.
Sardinia is a large island in the Mediterranean to the west of Italy.
It has a mountainous interior and a famed coastline with turquoise waters which attracts tourists from all over the world every year.
The island is a region of Italy, and Paolo lives in its regional capital, Cagliari which islocated on the southern coast.
Cagliari is an ancient city with a long history, that has seen the rule of several civilisations.
Today the city is a regional cultural, educational, political and artistic centre, known for its diverse Art Nouveau architecture and several monuments.
When Paolo is not in his radio shack using a screwdriver or a soldering iron, you will find him in the kitchen cooking a delicious pizza or some other mediterranean dishes =)
He is a keen cyclist and also enjoys jogging.
