Esteban is a very enthusiastic operator who inherited his passion for the hobby from his beloved grandfather.
When he was a child, Esteban was listening to his grandfather, using his radio equipment to inform the city market that his truck was loaded, full of fruits and ready to go for its delivery.
As is the case with so many good operators, Esteban is a good SWLer and he enjoys making contact with other stations either long distance or local stations.
Eseban ikes spending time in his shack and he is proud of his radio equipment :
-a HF Yaesu FT600 transceiver connected to a Delta Loop antenna that is 17 mt off the ground,
-a VHF yaesu ft 212 working with a Ringo antenna that is 15 mt high,
-a super star 3900 radio connected to a extended dipole antenna that is 15 mt high,
-a QYT KT-8900R Tri-Band Mini Base conntected to a multiband antenna that is 17 mt high.
Esteban's home is the argentinian part of Patagonia, which consists of an incredible display of natural beauty, virtually untouched by the hands of man.
Patagonia is home to fantastic mountain peaks, vast and empty steppes, glaciers and icefields, and stunning national parks
Bruce Chatwin famously wrote, "the farthest place to which man walked from his place of origin," and to this day it retains near-mythical status in the minds of the world's adventurers.
When Esteban is not in his shack, his other hobbies include fishing, cooking and he also has a strong
interest in astronomy.
We hope to meet you soon on the air Esteban, and we wish you the best of luck with your DXing,
