Ramsey's QTH is located in Aguadilla, a city in the Northwestern tip of Puerto Rico.
Aguadilla was founded in 1775 by Luis de Córdova.
Aguadilla derives its name from a name given by the Indians Guadilla or Guadiya which means garden.
Aguadilla is also known as El Pueblo de los Tiburones (town of the sharks), and recently El Nuevo Jardín del Atlántico (the new garden of the Atlantic).
The city is best known to visitors for its beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters.
It is a paradise for surfing.
Beaches like Crash Boat beach, Gas Chambers and Wilderness are very enjoyable for surfers looking for the thrill provided by unreliable waves.
On the air for 45 years, Ramsey is an experienced operator who has worked all the DXCC in Europe, South America and Central America.
He enjoys all sorts of DXing, even if it is only for a short "hello" to a radio friend.
His working conditions consist of an ICOM 7410 radio, a GALAXY 959 DX, an ICOM 7300 radio along with several antennas.
Among them a 6 element antenna and a SIRIO 827 vertical antenna dedicated to HF bands.
When he is not in his shack, Ramsey is very interested in sport and he specially likes weight training.
We wish you the best of luck with your DX Ramsey and we are looking forward meeting you on the air, 73's
